Catholic Board appoints new Superintendent of Education

January 17, 2020 (Brant, Haldimand, Norfolk) - The Brant Haldimand Norfolk Catholic District School Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Kevin Greco to the position of Superintendent of Education.

Mr. Greco has over 25 years experience in Catholic education and comes to us from Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board where he held the roles of teacher, secondary vice-principal, secondary principal and central office principal – employee relations. He holds a Master of Science Degree and has extensive work experience with underserved students and student populations. Kevin’s support for athletic, mental wellness and leadership initiatives extends to his volunteer activity and involvement in community programs.

“We are pleased to welcome Kevin Greco to our senior leadership team,” said Director of Education, Mike McDonald. “He is an innovative and adaptive Catholic leader who we know will provide outstanding support for the students, families and staff of our district.”

“Kevin’s strengths in leadership and faith formation, coupled with his employee relations and committee work stood out to the trustees,” said Chair of the Board, Rick Petrella. “I know that he is going to be a great addition to the leadership team and a vital part in implementing the Board’s new vision for our district, and I welcome him.”

Mr. Greco is filling a superintendent vacancy that was created upon the announcement of the retirement of Michelle Shypula.
