Catholic Board welcomes 2022-2026 Board of Trustees
Brantford, Ontario – At its Inaugural Meeting, the Brant Haldimand Norfolk Catholic District School Board (BHNCDSB) welcomed 1 newly elected and 5 returning Trustees. Congratulations were extended to Rick Petrella, who was acclaimed Chair of the Board and Carol Luciani who holds the position of Vice-Chair for the fourth consecutive term.
This will be the ninth consecutive year that Rick Petrella has been selected as Chair. As such, Chair Petrella brings a wealth of experience to the position having held numerous roles on committees including Audit, Budget, and Strategic Planning. “As I look over the last year, I am filled with pride of the work we have done. Navigating the pandemic, numerous capital improvements in existing buildings, opening two new child care centres, working alongside public health to ensure student and staff safety, working with the Ministry of Education to secure funding for a new elementary school in Haldimand County and a much-needed secondary school in Brantford,” said Rick Petrella. “I thank you for, once again, putting your faith in me.” View Chair Petrella’s full address.
The 2022-2026 BHNCDSB Board of Trustees include:
- Rick Petrella (Chair) and Bill Chopp, City of Brantford
- Dan Dignard, County of Brant
- Mark Watson, Haldimand County
- Carol Luciani (Vice-Chair) and Dennis Blake, Norfolk County
Many administrators and staff attended the Board elections and Inaugural meeting which followed a Celebration of the Eucharist presided by the Most Reverend Wayne Lobsinger, VG, EV Auxiliary Bishop of the Diocese of Hamilton. Music Ministry was provided by members of our Catholic Principals’ Council of Ontario (CPCO).
