Easter Message from the Chair of the Board
“For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son,” – John 3:16
Living each day through the challenges of these unprecedented times, it is easy to take for granted the suffering Jesus endured on our behalf. At Easter, we are invited to renew our faith as we reflect on Christ’s death and resurrection, and the great sacrifices God made for each of us so that we may all have eternal life with Him.
During the holiest season in our faith, we are reminded of the everlasting gift of love that God gave us and continues to give us through Jesus, his Son. This sacrifice is a blessing that demonstrates the ultimate fulfillment of God’s promise to humanity, which is the foundation of our faith.
The Brant Haldimand Norfolk Catholic District School Board is blessed by the caring and inspiring individuals who have dedicated their lives to nurturing Gospel values and Catholic teachings through their words and actions. Easter is an important time for us to remember the essential role that our Catholic school communities play in promoting God’s message of forgiveness, compassion, and love.
I am truly thankful for our families who support our Catholic schools as we endeavour to enrich the spiritual lives of our students. This has been a very challenging year and I am very proud of the way that we have worked together, and supported each other, as we continue to navigate through the pandemic. I would also like to thank our BHNCDSB staff for putting their faith into action each day by inspiring our students to grow in grace and knowledge, and to lead lives of faith, hope, and charity.
On behalf of the Board of Trustees, I wish all members of our BHNCDSB family a blessed remainder of Holy Week and a Happy Easter!
Sincerely,
Rick Petrella
Chair of the Board
