Registering Your Child

Registration for junior and senior kindergarten will take place during the month of January at all of our elementary schools for children who are ages four or five by December 31, 2010. Registrations will also be accepted anytime during the regular school year if you happen to miss the January registration period. Parents are asked to contact their local Catholic school and arrange an appointment to register their Catholic children.

Please note: Junior Kindergarten - Children must be 4 years old by Dec.31, 2010, Senior Kindergarten- Children must be 5 years old by Dec. 31, 2010

To give each child the best start possible, our Kindergarten program provides a variety of learning opportunities and experiences delivered in a Catholic environment. We also offer comprehensive programs for children with special needs.

To register your child, please be prepared to provide the following:

-a birth certificate or other government document to show proof of age; and
-a Roman Catholic baptismal certificate for either the child OR parent.

All inquiries should be directed to your local Catholic elementary school.

French Immersion

Jean Vanier as a dual track school with a French Immersion program and an English program. Call 519-753-5283 inquire about the French Immersion program and to registrater at the school.

Transportation for Kindergarten

School bus transportation is available to all kindergarten students who live more than 1.6 km from their school. School bus route schedules will be sent to you in late August, and are available by contacting the Student Transportation Services of Brant Haldimand Norfolk.
